Wild Mushroom Stuffed Turkey Roulade
“Mother Mushroom Farms” Ali‘i, Lion’s Mane & Shiitake, Yukon mash, charred green beans, cranberry compote, rosemary jus.

Soup
Spiced Pumpkin Soup with brown butter, sage, and crème fraîche.

Dessert
Pumpkin Mochi Crunch with butter pecans and cream cheese icing.

Curated wine pairings, including Monte Tondo Soave Classico (Veneto, Italy 2023) and Bruna Grimaldi Dolcetto D’Alba (Piedmont, Italy 2021), round out the meal beautifully.

Mala Ocean Tavern Joins Elijah Craig Old-Fashioned Week to Support the Hospitality Community

Māla Ocean Tavern is proud to take part in Elijah Craig’s Old-Fashioned Week, happening October 10–19. This nationwide celebration honors one of the most iconic cocktails of all time while raising funds for an important cause.

This year’s event supports the Southern Smoke Hospitality Foundation, a nonprofit that provides emergency relief and mental health services to food and beverage workers in need. Their efforts have been a lifeline for countless individuals in our industry, especially through the challenges of the pandemic and the recent Maui wildfires.

To mark the occasion, MĀLA is featuring a S’mores Old-Fashioned, a decadent twist on the classic made with Elijah Craig Bourbon, toasted marshmallow, chocolate, and graham-inspired notes. It’s comfort in a glass, with every sip supporting a greater cause.

MALA OCEAN TAVERN Joins the Celebration of A Sense of Home’s 10th Anniversary Gala

Mala Ocean Tavern and Coco Deck Lahaina are honored to support A Sense of Home as they celebrate their 10th Anniversary at the Los Angeles Gala on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the Pacific Design Center.

MALA and Coco Deck are honored to take part in the celebration by contributing Brunch for Two at Mala Ocean Tavern and Dinner for Two at Coco Deck Lahaina. These experiences will help raise funds for A Sense of Home and further their mission of creating homes and hope for those in need.

A Decade of Creating Homes and Hope

Since its founding, A Sense of Home has transformed the lives of young people who have aged out of foster care and individuals rebuilding after disasters. The organization recently hit a major milestone with 1,500 homes created through their Former Foster Youth Program and Disaster Relief Program.

Beyond homes, A Sense of Home has been investing in futures. This year marks the third year of their Educational Scholarship program, helping provide up to 18 scholarships of $20,000 each to former foster youth who have had their first-ever homes created by ASOH.

The Gala: A Night of Community and Celebration

Together, the evening will shine a light on the incredible impact A Sense of Home has had in Los Angeles and beyond.

At MALA and Coco Deck, we believe in the power of food to bring people together. By contributing to this year’s Gala, we’re proud to play a small part in helping A Sense of Home continue their mission: turning empty spaces into homes filled with love, dignity, and belonging.
